No one does cryptic launches like Nothing does, and after months of buildup surrounding its next smartphone release, we have an official Nothing Phone 3 teaser that has left fans excited once more. The small but uber-popular company revealed a seven-second clip that confirmed that the Nothing Phone 3 was set for a March 4 launch.
The official launch date for the Nothing Phone 3 is still months away, but now that Nothing has begun its announcements, we can expect to see more abstract teasers in the next few weeks that will keep fans guessing at what new features and glyph setups we can expect from the upcoming phone.
Now seems to be as good a time as any to dive into the handful of Nothing Phone 3 rumors we’ve been able to gather so far.

Nothing Phone 3 Teaser Released—Not Much Has Been Said, but Fans Continue to Make Guesses
Gather around nerds, because it’s time to speculate. The new Nothing Phone 3 teaser was preceded by another unexplained post on X/Twitter on January 21, 2025, which featured a picture of the Pokemon Arcanine and no other details. This could be a reference to the code name of the phone or an upcoming collaboration. The company then posted the next day, “first tweet from new device,” confirming that we were indeed getting ready for a new smartphone launch.
The Nothing Phone 3 release news crumbs remained under the wraps thereafter as well, with the company releasing some abstract black-and-white graphics that alluded to the various components of the upcoming smartphone while giving away very little information on the device. Finally, an image on the Nothing countdown widget appeared, giving us a heads-up on the incoming announcement.

All of this build-up led to the reveal of the Nothing Phone 3’s March launch. The post came with the caption “Power in Perspective. 4 March 10:00 GMT,” and featured a lit-up circle with another oblong shape below it. Fans have made their guesses about what this could be, and the most likely explanation is the camera setup on the device, however, Nothing could just surprise us with an unexpected glyph layout or side button setup as well.

Max Jambor, a prominent leaker with insider information into the tech world, shared an image on his Twitter/X account, which looked to be an invitation to the Power in Perspective event on March 4. The event is expected to take place in Barcelona, Spain. Now the Mobile World Congress (MWC) convention is also scheduled at the same time in Barcelona, so the smartphone maker could be planning to launch its phone then.
Nothing Phone 3 Rumors—What Do We Know So Far?
The Nothing Phone 3 teaser doesn’t explicitly refer to the name or specs of the phone, which has left some worried that we might receive a Nothing Phone 3a instead. This is a very likely scenario as the company has appeared to be leaning towards its alternate series more than the flagship category it initially started off the brand with.
For now, what we know from the Nothing Phone 3 rumors is that the gadget could come equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and Android 15 support to power Nothing OS 3.0. Some rumors also indicate the possibility of a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, but the Snapdragon route is more likely. A 6.5-inch display is expected, along with an 8GB RAM and a variant with 12GB RAM support.
The glyph light-up interface will most certainly stay, but it will be used in a refreshed layout. Nothing Phone 3 is expected to feature its iconic transparent design for the back of the phone, but the tech company always does something unexpected with its appearance, so expect to see something slightly new from the design.

Is Nothing Hinting at a Third Camera Lens?
Whether we look at the Nothing Phone, the Nothing Phone 2, or even the Nothing CMF phone, a two-lens system has been the standard. The teaser could be alluding to a new triple camera setup and early leaks suggest there could be two phones, the standard model and a Plus variant. The base model is expected to feature a telephoto camera, with the Plus model built with a periscopic telephoto lens. The third lens could be an ultrawide camera similar to all the other flagship phones from Samsung or Google.
The teaser gives the impression that the features being showcased in the clip are set up on the side of the phone instead of the back, which doesn’t make too much sense right now for a camera setup. While fans have hypothesized that the Nothing Phone 3 teaser has showcased the camera lens, it could just be the power and volume button or a new shutter button on the side of the phone.
Much like every other smartphone in the last year, AI features will make an appearance on the device, but what that will mean for the users remains to be seen.
A Nothing CMF phone launch is also expected this year, but this could occur in the second half of 2025. With the official launch date for the Nothing Phone 3—or Phone 3a—confirmed, we now have a more concrete idea of when we’ll hear more from the brand. Will this device get a launch in the U.S.? Most likely, but the final details will soon be unveiled.
