We aren’t close to any Apple releases just yet, but the Apple Series 10 rumors are racking up as we speak. Not all of these predictions might turn out to be correct but considering the leakers who bring us these titbits of information are always at the top of their game, we’re expecting most of the Series 10 watch rumors to be true. The Apple Watch redesign leaks suggest the company isn’t doing anything to drastically improve the square brick aesthetic of the dial, so you’re essentially going to look at some minor upgrades in display quality and size, and then focus on the internal workings of the device.

Apple Series 10 Rumors—What We Know So Far
It isn’t apple-picking season yet so we don’t have an orchard full of rumors to distribute but we’re willing to look in the back to see what we do have to share. The Apple Watch Series 9 did not make much of an impact when it was released, and there were two elements that made it stand out compared to older models—the improved battery and more accurate health monitoring capabilities.
The 18-hour battery still failed in comparison to its competitors but it was an upgrade for Apple. The faster S9 chip inside the Apple Watch provided the gadget with some considerable operational support, but we weren’t fully sold on the device. The improvements were too minimal to support the decision to switch from an older model. The Apple Watch updates in 2024 are expected to look much the same.
No Major Apple Watch Redesigns Expected
We do have some design-based Series 10 Watch rumors, but none of them suggest a monumental change. The watch isn’t switching to micro LEDs as many had hoped, but we’re expecting to see a much thinner design. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said as much in his newsletter. He also claimed that Apple has been testing the possibility of 3D-printing the casing for some models but this might affect later models instead of the Series 10 Watch.
The display on the watch is also expected to be slightly larger this time around, with one of them likely to be the size of the Apple Watch Ultra. Early renders show the device with a 2-inch display which would make it more similar to the Apple Watch Ultra.
A New Processor But The Health Sensors May Not Change
The next version of the S9 chip is also expected on the new watch. An Apple Watch with a faster chip would be the ideal setup for artificial intelligence integration but don’t expect this AI integration right off the bat. There are no plans to bring their Apple Intelligence model to the device just yet.
Two new health functions are being tested by Apple, hypertension detection and sleep apnea detection features, but the integration of both sensors is up in the air right now. The hypertension detection tool has run into some issues with consistency and if they aren’t able to guarantee reliable results every time, the company will have to delay the integration of the feature.
The sleep apnea feature depends on the integration of a blood oxygen saturation sensor but Apple has been accused of patent infringement by medical technology company Masimo. Until the lawsuit is resolved, Apple will be unable to sell watches that incorporate this particular feature. The leakers of the Apple Series 10 rumors have also suggested that a blood glucose tracker could be included if the feature is ready by the time the device is released.
Finally a Better Battery?
Among the other elements of the Apple Watch redesign, one thing that could be changing is the battery life. One of the biggest complaints that most users have with the watch is its battery and with every new watch, we see a small improvement. With the Series 10 Apple Watch, the company could change the OLED display to be more power-efficient and this could considerably reduce the battery drain.
The Apple Watch is expected to release sometime in September this year but there is a small possibility that the device will get a 2025 release instead. Additionally, if the device comes in two sizes, they could range between $399-$499 USD for the smaller version, with the larger model priced between $429-$529 USD.
These rumors are subject to change and we may see more updates come out in the next few months. We’re hoping to see something new and innovative from Apple that the current Series 10 watch rumors have missed out on, but only time will tell.
