A new year always means a new lineup of products. Unfortunately, Apple has kept mum about the releases we can expect this year, leaving us in the dark about what is to come. Since the company hasn’t gotten to it, we’re throwing together an FAQ on upcoming Apple releases in 2025 to share what we know so far.

While the company has not come right out and shared a date or confirmation on the Apple Spring Event 2025, we’re assuming that the company will have a small release of products around March before it gets to the iPhone 17 and other key products towards the end of the year.

The Cupertino company could decide to skip a full-scale event and just announce the Apple spring product lineup via a post or announcement online, but considering the company did have a “Let Loose” event last year in May, we’re certain it will hold a live stream at least.

FAQ on Upcoming Apple Releases in 2025—What Does Apple Have Planned for Us?

Apple has managed to build an entire, successful ecosystem of products that have evolved quite significantly from where they started, but its job is not done yet. Fortunately or unfortunately for the company, it cannot sit back and count on its accolades to bring in revenue, as it has to consistently release products to keep customers returning to them for more.

To give you an example, even as Apple announced the release of the iPhone 16 series last year, fans were already looking at early rumors of the iPhone 17. If you’re among those excited fans and curious about the new Apple products released in 2025, then consider this your place to send in your questions regarding the upcoming devices.

Will Apple Hold an Event This Spring?

Apple has not confirmed a Spring Event for 2025, but according to Bloomberg’s expert Mark Gurman, the company is expected to organize a keynote in March. This is an earlier timeline than the one we saw in 2024. However, last year’s event was outside the norm. The spring event is usually expected in March.

What Apple Products Will be Released During the Spring Event in 2025?

Apple Spring Event in 2025 is expected to bring us the iPhone SE 4, possibly renamed the iPhone 16E. The MacBook Air M4 is also expected to get a release. However, it may be released before the other products on the list without waiting for an event to announce its arrival.

Mark Gurman also stated that new entry-level iPads (J481 and J482) will join Apple’s spring product lineup, along with an upgraded iPad Air. A new HomePod with a display and iPad Pro could also be released, although the iPad Pro might be released later in the year.

What Apple Products Are Coming Out in 2025?

Apart from the iPhone SE 4 and a few other product releases during the Spring event, Apple will likely reserve its other major releases for later in the year. A new Mac Pro, M5 MacBook Pro, an Apple TV 4K, a smart home display, a foldable iPhone, and the iPhone 17 series are expected in 2025. Rumors also suggest the smartwatch category will get an upgrade, with the release of the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE.

If you’re hopeful that the Apple Vision Pro 2 will make a debut at the event, trust that we will not see it launch before Q4 2025.

Have There Been Any MacBook Air M4 Announcements?

Apple has not made any explicit announcements regarding its MacBook Air, but leaks suggest it will launch with an M4 chip. This will be the first product release from Apple this year, and there should be two versions available–13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs. Despite our research for our FAQ on the upcoming Apple releases in 2025, we haven’t been able to confirm an official release date.

Will Apple Release the iPhone SE 4?

Yes, Apple most certainly will release the iPhone SE 4 in 2025, possibly with a different name, iPhone 16E. The smartphone is expected to use the A18 chipset and be larger than the SE 3, making it very similar to the devices in the iPhone 16 lineup. Rumors also indicate that it will support Apple Intelligence and cost around $499.

Is the iPad 11 Coming Out in 2025?

Apple’s spring product lineup will include the 11th generation of the iPad, and it will be released with an A17 Pro chip and support iPadOS 18.3. The design of the device is unlikely to change but it might be available in new colors, with 8GB RAM, and support for Apple Intelligence. Apple is also said to be working on a Magic Keyboard accessory that may pair well with the iPad 11 if released, or it might be reserved for the iPad Air.

Is Apple Vision Pro 2 Expected to Launch in 2025 or 2026?

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the Apple Vision Pro 2 will launch late in 2025 or early 2026. It should be powered by Apple’s M5 chip and appear similar in design to the original Vision Pro. Apple Intelligence may be the main selling point of the devices, as it is unclear how else Apple plans to differentiate it from its predecessor.

Some rumors suggest that Apple is working on another budget-friendly version of the headset with some extreme modifications, but other leaks indicate this plan has been shelved. Either way, the Apple Vision Pro 2 will not be a part of the Apple Spring Event 2025 releases.

Is Apple Going to Make a Smart Display?

Yes, the rumors do indicate that among the many new Apple products expected in 2025, there is an “AI wall tablet for home control,” now dubbed the HomePad This smart home display will allow users to connect all their other smart gadgets in one place, providing a single interface instead of relying on multiple apps to control their home.

There are also rumors that Apple is looking into releasing other devices for the home space that can be linked to the smart display, but the Cupertino company has not confirmed the details.

What are Apple’s Goals for 2025?

Apple’s primary goal for 2025 appears to be dedicated to securing Apple Intelligence as a crowd-puller over other smartphone AIs. Despite the features released last year, the company is still lagging behind in terms of what its AI services can do and what conveniences they offer to users. Apple’s goals for 2025 also include an expansion of its smart home products, with the new smart home hub and a revival of some of its older products that perform well on the market, such as its iPads.

There are rumors that Apple will expand into the foldable smartphone market this year, but there is no clear data on how much progress it has made toward this goal. The company’s investment in the Apple Vision Pro, which was its biggest release last year, has slowed down considerably, and analysts expect it will be more cautious with its next release.
