We are just a week away from OnePlus’ next smartphone release, and what better way to set the stage than with some OnePlus 13T leaks? The company posted a teaser for the smartphone on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, which showed off the OnePlus 13T’s appearance quite confidently. The first look at the OnePlus 13T showed us some changes to the body of the device, such as an additional button on the side frame.
The OnePlus 13T announcement came with the caption “Small screen big devil. OnePlus 13T is officially unveiled!” OnePlus also mentioned that the device can be held between the thumb and index finger, much like you would when making the “okay” sign. It appears that just like Apple and Samsung, OnePlus is in pursuit of the ultimate thin, sleek body, albeit on a different plane. That’s not all we know about the OnePlus 13T, so let’s break down the details.

The OnePlus 13T design leaks have been confirmed by the company’s latest announcement.
OnePlus 13T Leaks: Everything We Know So Far
A large number of the details surrounding the OnePlus 13T aren’t leaks per se, considering the company came out and confirmed many of the specs themselves, but there are some rumors surrounding the smartphone that can’t be ignored. For one, new leaks suggest the camera setup, while it looks premium, may not stun with its performance the way that prospective buyers are hoping.
As of now, the OnePlus 13T release date has been set for April 24, but it is only releasing in China. A US release could be in the cards, but we have no details on when to expect its arrival, especially considering the tense relationship between the US and China right now.
OnePlus 13T Appearance and Design: The Devil’s In the Details
The official OnePlus 13T announcement gave us a good look at the luxurious appearance of the upcoming smartphone, and we’re pretty impressed with what the smartphone maker has managed to pull off.
The OnePlus 13T’s first look releases showcase the smartphone in black, grey, and a nice subtle pink, so while it isn’t colorful, you can still choose between some light and dark forms. The rumored official names for the color sound more fun—Cloud Ink Black, Morning Mist Gray, and Heartbeat Pink.

The smooth, flat sides of the metal frame with the slightly curvy edges look very elegant, and the glass back adds some style as well. The vertically stacked camera module is encased in a raised squircle island, very similar to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
There is also a new shortcut button instead of the alert slider typically present there. The iPhone action button appears to have inspired many, for example, Nothing’s Phone 3a also introduced a new button for a specific Essential Space feature.

Is a Narrow Form a OnePlus 13T Goal?
While it seems thin phones are in, the OnePlus 13T announcement and additional marketing material explored shrinking the smartphone, but not in terms of its thickness. The OnePlus 13T is expected to be narrow enough to wrap your thumb and index finger around it completely. Why would you want that?
This detail might make it easier to use the smartphone in one hand, with your thumb able to reach the other end of the screen with ease. It’s almost like the best-sized smartphones we had were the narrow, small, and compact phones we had in the early 2000s. With dumbphones coming back, we wouldn’t be surprised to see tech circle back to the days of slider phones and Blackberries.
Specs Confirmed Through the OnePlus 13T Leaks and Announcements
The OnePlus 13T specs have been confirmed to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. No specific storage and RAM configurations have been confirmed yet, but the RAM could be 16 GB. The smartphone has a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits brightness. The ultra-narrow bezels are also a nice touch.
The dual-camera system on the back features two 50MP lenses, with the second one showcasing 2x optical zoom capabilities on the telephoto lens. The lack of any Hasselblad branding may suggest the cameras are not going to be as “outstanding” as many expect, but we’ll have to wait to know more.
The OnePlus 13T leaks suggest the “mini” flagship will have at least a 6,000 mAh battery despite its compact form, along with 80W fast charging. This would give the smartphone a pretty supportive leg up among competitors. There has been no mention of wireless charging support so far. The OnePlus 13T leaks also suggest it will have NFC support, an optical fingerprint scanner, and an advanced glacial cooling system for improved heat dissipation.

The OnePlus 13T looks great and sounds like a decent investment so far.
We’re Happy with the First Look at the OnePlus 13T
So far, the OnePlus 13T looks like a great investment, but we might have to revise that take once we know more about the price. Speculations put the price between $600-$900, so it won’t necessarily be a budget-friendly phone like the Moto G Stylus 2025 that we recently reviewed.
We have no details on the exact storage specs or the OS and security updates promised for the device yet, either. Despite that, the OnePlus 13T’s appearance and design convey a more premium feel, and the battery size could be a major selling point of the device.

The excitement around the OnePlus 13T’s release is building, and we’re hopeful that a US launch will be announced shortly. The OnePlus 13T is expected to launch globally as the OnePlus 13s. For those who chose to skip the OnePlus 13, this might be a good alternative to consider.
