A five-day battery life and AI-powered health insights? You’re in for a ride with this OnePlus Watch 3 review. The all-new OnePlus Watch 3 was launched on February 18, 2025, and it brought with it an assortment of features that, while not novel, work very efficiently on the device.
The watch unfortunately only comes in one size so if you want something small and discrete, this is not the right buy for you. But if you aren’t particular about size, then the OnePlus Watch 3 features might just turn out to be well worth the $329.99 it’s demanding from buyers. The smart wearable does have some limitations, but overall, we find ourselves writing a mostly positive OnePlus Watch 3 review.

Oneplus Watch 3 Review—Are You in the Market for a Spiffy New Fitness Tracker?
The recently released OnePlus Watch 3 doesn’t reinvent the smartwatch or offer up something awe-worthy with its arrival. Instead, it refreshes some of the already decent features from its predecessor, while adding a few more traits into the mix to ensure you’re convinced that upgrading is the right move.
From the brighter AMOLED display to the OnePlus Watch 3’s fitness tracking capabilities, there’s a lot to appreciate about the new device.
OnePlus Watch 3 Design Review—The Aesthetics Do Matter
The OnePlus Watch 3 doesn’t look dramatically different from its predecessor, but it does have slimmer bezels that allow you to enjoy the screen space a little more. The stainless steel case, titanium physical bezel, and sapphire crystal screen do a good job of imitating an analog watch face, even though the brightly lit screen does give its identity as a digital watch away.
The OnePlus Watch 3 measures 46.6mm x 47.6mm x 11mm, and weighs 81g so it is definitely not designed for those looking for something dainty. With the fluoro rubber straps also thrown in, the device leans towards a more “masculine” analog aesthetic and is available in two rough terrain colors—Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. Personally, we would have loved to review a OnePlus Watch 3 with a more demure aesthetic with a smaller and less in-your-face dial, but we’ll accept this iteration of the watch for now.
For those who like physical buttons, there are two on this one—a physical rotating crown that allows you to scroll through the menu, and another programmable button below it. This feature was sorely missed on the previous watch so it’s great that OnePlus didn’t ignore the feedback this time.
OnePlus Watch 3 Display—It’s Worth Looking At All Day
The OnePlus Watch 3 display is made of an AMOLED touchscreen that measures 1.5 inches. With 466×466 pixel resolution, 1-60Hz refresh rate, and 2,200 nits peak brightness, the watch guarantees operation both indoors and outdoors. As far as our OnePlus Watch 3 review is concerned, we’re happy looking at what the watch has offered us on its release.
The Wear OS integration allows you to customize your watch face more freely, even allowing you to upload your video as a background.
Durability of the OnePlus Watch 3
The 2D sapphire crystal screen offers a good amount of durability to the display. Additionally, you also get the promise of IP68 water and dust resistance, 5ATM pressure resistance, and a MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.
All of this means that the watch can be used across climates without wearing out too quickly. Some caution is still necessary—don’t leave the watch submerged in your pool just to test it out—but for most users, the durability of the OnePlus Watch 3 will not be an issue. As far as our OnePlus Watch 3 review on durability is concerned, the device is perfectly suited for an active lifestyle.
OnePlus Watch 3 Specs—What’s Cooking Under the Hood?
The OnePlus Watch 3 features a Snapdragon W5 chipset and operates on Wear OS 5, but it also has a second operating system, RTOS, which is powered by a BES2800 MCU chip. This dual support allows the watch to extend the battery life further, switching between the two based on how demanding the task is.
We’ve seen and appreciated the same system with the OnePlus Watch 2 and 2R and the BES2700 chip, so it’s great to see OnePlus utilize this strategy once more. The OnePlus Watch 3 review and performance, is powered by this dual-chip format, which gives us a reason why the device is hard to shrink into a smaller form.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is easily compatible with your smartphone as long as it runs on Android, but it works best when paired with a OnePlus device. It offers Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 5G/2.4G connectivity but there is no optional LTE integration similar to what we’ve seen on some Pixel and Galaxy watches. It does however support NFC so contactless payment is possible through your Google Wallet.

Image: Despite the many sleep tracking features, we have to use our OnePlus Watch 3 review to highlight that the bulky device isn’t best suited for wearing to sleep. This complicates matters a little.
The OnePlus Watch 3 Battery Life Wins Our Heart
If there’s one key takeaway from our OnePlus Watch 3 review, it’s that the battery life is its central strength. OnePlus’ use of silicon-carbon battery technology allows it to pack a heavy-duty 631-mAh battery into the Watch 3, making its battery life extremely reliable for days. The device guarantees a 5-day or 120-hour battery runtime for users, which can be extended up to 16 days with the power-saving mode. All of this is calculated without the always-on display.
Turning AOD on will halve the battery duration, but we rarely see any need to keep the display on at all times. The watch does take 80 minutes to charge up to the full battery, but if you’re in a rush, you can also get away with charging it up halfway to use for the next day or two. That’s what makes the OnePlus Watch 3 battery life so amazing.
Of course, for a truly long-lasting gadget you might need to turn to a watch like the Garmin Forerunner 265, but the OnePlus Watch 3’s battery capability paired with its other features, makes it more versatile.
OnePlus Watch 3 Sensors—Fitness Tracking Made Easy
Another relevant consideration in our OnePlus Watch 3 review, is the device’s capabilities. The smart wearable does all the measuring you’d typically expect with its heart rate monitor, blood oxygen sensor, and wrist temperature monitor. The OnePlus Watch 3 is also capable of ECG monitoring but the feature is exclusive to the U.K. and will be available later in 2025. It can also measure arterial stiffness using the Vascular Health app, which is an additional health tool if you’re interested in tracking it.
If you like monitoring specific workouts and activities, the OnePlus Watch 3 has over 100 sports modes. These largely measure the same data and only differ in terms of what the activity is tagged as, but the 11 professional modes offer some unique assessments to give you more specific information on your workout performance.
The OnePlus Watch 3’s health features include a 60-second check-in feature where you place your finger on the sensor button while the watch does a quick check of your health stats, including data regarding heart rate, blood oxygen, mental wellness, sleep quality, vascular age, etc.
Over time, the device will also be able to provide AI-driven summaries of your fitness, health, and sleep quality, providing you with a useful look at your lifestyle.
OnePlus Watch 3 Top Features—What Does the Watch 3 Do Well?
OnePlus Watch 3’s battery life is its most exceptional feature, but we also have to admit that the watch serves its overall purpose exceptionally. The fitness tracking is detailed—particularly if you’re a runner—it gathers sleep data for those who want to monitor it, the health data is extremely comprehensive and it is updated throughout the day. Overall, you’re left with a detailed assessment of the fluctuations in your health and well-being. Most people reading through our OnePlus Watch 3 review are likely looking for a daily companion with useful day-to-day assessments, and this watch is perfectly suited to meet those needs.
The watch also offers a fall detection system and the upgraded dual-frequency GPS antennas offer more accurate movement tracking data. The watch synchronizes well with certain third-party apps and if you use it with a OnePlus device, you can also operate the camera control available. That appears to be the only exclusive feature, so you don’t have to worry about missing out on much if you pair your watch with a different Android device.
What About the OnePlus Watch 3’s Software Support and Updates
One of the negatives we have to point out in our OnePlus Watch 3 review is that the company has only offered two years of software support for the device. For a smartwatch with such a healthy battery and many other reliable features, we’d expect OnePlus to commit more to supporting the watch long-term. Regardless, if you treat the watch well, it should last longer despite the lack of updates.
You should also know that buying the OnePlus Watch 3 from the official websites grants you a 30-day return period if you’re unsatisfied with its performance. If you choose to keep it, you can expect a 12-month warranty, however, liquid and dust damage is not covered. Why not review the OnePlus Watch 3 yourself to see how it fits into your routine?

Do the OnePlus Watch 3 Specs Support the User Experience Well?
The Wear OS support from Google makes it so that the user interface of the device is familiar and easy to navigate. The OnePlus Watch 3’s rotating crown also adds an element of convenience to scrolling through the tools and features present at your disposal. The screen brightness and general UI design provide all the necessary information at a glance, so you don’t have to hunt for tools every single time.
Google Play allows you to browse for and download additional apps, and some of these are integrated into the smartwatch to give you easy control right from your wrist. In our OnePlus Watch 3 review, we only have good things to say about the gadget. As long as you own an Android phone, the OnePlus Watch 3 will be compatible with your devices.
Wrapping Up the OnePlus Watch 3 Review with Our Final Thoughts
The price of the OnePlus Watch 3 is admittedly a little high at $329.99, but with all its specs and capabilities considered, it is well worth the price you pay. While you may be tempted to invest in a Google or Samsung Watch instead, the OnePlus has shown its ability to grow consistently and when it delivers, it doesn’t disappoint.
Reviewers and testers who got their hands on the watch have all responded positively to its capabilities, which should be a comfort to you if you’re considering buying one for yourself or a loved one. The OnePlus Watch 3’s battery life gets the biggest shoutout from satisfied customers.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is an absolute battery life BEAST!
It’s on track to last 6 DAYS with AOD enabled, albeit with light usage but still absolutely incredible.
