With all the attention around Samsung’s smartphones, it can be easy to forget that Samsung has a much more expansive catalog of products to offer. Take the Samsung 2025 AI soundbar for example. Unveiled at CES 2025, the Samsung soundbar features some of the best hardware the industry has available right now, with the promise of AI capabilities that can enhance the listening experience.
Samsung’s flagship soundbars for the year include two new Q-series alternatives—the HW-Q990F and HW-QS700F—which “deliver powerful performance, leveraging AI to increase immersion and sound quality.” The HW-Q990F is the real star of the show, but the HW-QS700F is not to be underestimated either.

Samsung’s 2025 AI Soundbars Are Taking Their Performance One Step Further
Samsung cares deeply about the products that go into your home, and the company is always careful to design durable and versatile gadgets. While it’s true that these devices mostly cater to an audience with a more expendable budget, the products are always well worth the money.
The Samsung TVs released at the Consumer Electronics Show 2025 are all designed for spacious homes that intend to exude luxury, and the Samsung flagship soundbars are no different.
First, We Have the HW-Q990F, the Successor to the HW-Q990D
The 11.1.4-channel soundbar system features a wireless subwoofer and two wireless surround speakers that complete the setup. With a mission to make their subwoofers more discrete, the HW-Q990F’s cube design cuts the subwoofers to half the size of the ones that came before it. The boxy, serrated look adds some texture and dimension to the device, but in terms of design, the HW-Q990F is fairly standard.
The main focus of the Samsung soundbars is their new AI-powered features for the optimization of audio quality. This includes support features such as.
- Dynamic Bass Control, which improves the quality of low-frequency sound by using non-linear techniques that ensure a balanced and distortion-free experience.
- Q-Symphony, which creates a more immersive and realistic 3D surround sound experience by connecting with compatible Samsung wireless speakers and analyzing their position.
- Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which uses real-time content analysis for isolating and enhancing the clarity of dialogues while you use the soundbar to stream your favorite movies
- Neural Processing Unit Integration, which leverages the NPU of a compatible Samsung TV and assists in creating a more immersive home theater system.

Next, We Have the HW-QS700F
Every home is different and requires a slightly different setup to truly shine. This is where the adaptable HW-QS700F comes in, using its gyro-sensor technology to better fit your space. Why would the Samsung soundbars require gyro features you ask? It’s because the soundbar can automatically detect its horizontal or vertical positioning to realign the audio output for clarity.
Since the soundbar can be mounted differently, the gyro feature will help ensure the sound streams out in the right direction while also fitting your home setup. There’s no indication to show if one setup works better than the other as yet, but you should be able to look forward to a solid audio experience regardless.
Now the details on the HW-QS700F have been few, and we’re left wondering if the Eclipse Audio system support that was mentioned earlier will feature on these current soundbars, as there was no mention of it in the press release. Perhaps the new standard will be unveiled with future releases, so we can assume that Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Audio support will remain central to the system for now.
For now, we’re sufficiently impressed with the two Samsung soundbars at the CES 2025 showcase, with the flagship HW-Q990F and the mid-range but versatile HW-QS700F both carving out a space on the market for themselves.
