It seems like the tech world has a lot on its plate to savor these days. Apple’s WWDC 2017 event just got over leaving trails of major announcements like new iPads, a new reality show, iMac Pro, iOS 11, and more; and now comes the much awaited E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) 2017. Well, the highly speculated announcementby Microsoft in this event was the release of a new Xbox codenamed ‘Scorpio’. Turns out, this gaming console actually did get a limelight release, but its name is not ‘Scorpio’, it is the Xbox One X.

Not just the Xbox One X, Microsoft announced other major things also at the E3 2017. It includes many things from release date of games to the footage of various games. We have mentioned some of the biggest announcements at the E3 2017 below-
Xbox One X Undoubtedly Tops the List
Of all the announcements, this one certainly deserves the top position in the list. The speculations and leaks already gave in a lot before the official release. But we were unaware about the name, price, and release date of the Microsoft’s Xbox One X console. Well, now we all know that this is named the Xbox One X and it is priced at $499. This is a huge $100 more than the Playstation 4 Pro. It will be available for purchase from November 7. This successor of the Xbox One is packed with more graphical power in comparison to the Playstation 4 Pro also. Its super sampling system helps make the graphics look better on the 1080p TVs along with a support for 4k gameplay.
One great thing about Microsoft’s Xbox One X is that it is compatible with the accessories of your existing Xbox One. Even though we are a little disheartened with the slightly expensive price of Xbox One X, it is left to see if this really is the most powerful gaming console as highlighted.
Crackdown 3- November 7 is not just for New Xbox
This is the game we are waiting for Microsoft to release for a long time now and the good news is that it finally has a release date finally. The same day Microsoft launches the Xbox One X is the day it will also release this game that has a guest appearance from Terry Crews, in its trailer.
Xbox One Owners can Cherish Original Xbox Games Now
Both, the Xbox One and the new Xbox One X come with a backwards compatibility for the Xbox 360 games. But at the E3 2017, Microsoft moved one step backwards with its announcement for the Xbox games. Now, the company will also roll out support some of the original Xbox games, reports The Verge. It also reports that one of the first games will be the Crimson Skies, loved by many. But we will get to know more about the updates only later this year.
Games and Updates
As far as the games are concerned, Microsoft announced some updates in that section also. It has announced that the Forza 7, a successor of the Forza Motorsport 6 will run at 60fps (frames per second) at a 4k resolution. It will also have around 250 more cars than its predecessor, making it to a total of around 700 cars. (We don’t know if 700 cars is really worth it!) This game will be on sale from 3rd October.
The next game of Assassins Creed will be set in the ancient Egypt packed with complex customization options. The game will be launched for almost all the platforms like Xbox One, Xbox One X, PC, and PS4.
Other Updates for Games
Moreover, for the Xbox One X, some of the games will get a 4k resolution update for free. The list includes- Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct, Gears of War 4, and Halo Wars. These are included in the 30 other titles that will get the Xbox One X updates for free.
Xbox One X and maybe the other systems will support the next Metro game, Metro Exodus.
Well, there are many more announcements made by Microsoft the E3 2017. But right now these are the major ones from the list. We think it’s time for game hitters to select their favorite ones from the pool of games Microsoft is coming up with this year.
